At Now Music Academy, a student's first lesson is all about creating a relaxed and welcoming environment to put them at ease.
Our friendly tutors start by asking questions to get to know the student and understand their musical goals and interests.
This initial conversation helps the tutor assess the student's current skill level. Based on this assessment, the tutor will provide tailored lesson materials designed to further the student's knowledge and set them on a path to success.
Our goal is to ensure every student feels comfortable and excited about their musical journey from day one.

At Now Music Academy, we invite parents to sit in on their child's first lesson to help them feel comfortable and secure in the new learning environment.
After this initial session, we kindly ask parents to wait in the waiting room. This approach allows children to open up, lose any inhibitions, and engage more freely during their lessons.
To keep parents informed, we are happy to take a few minutes at the end of each lesson to discuss their child's progress. Additionally, we use 'My Music Staff' software to track and share detailed updates on each student's development, ensuring parents are always up-to-date with their child's musical journey.

Having your own instrument when taking music lessons at Now Music Academy is highly beneficial as it allows for consistent practice and familiarisation outside of lesson time, leading to faster progress and a deeper connection with the instrument.
While we provide amps, cables, and even a guitar if needed during lessons, owning your instrument enables you to apply what you've learned at your own pace and convenience, reinforcing skills and building confidence.
This personal practice is key to mastering your musical abilities and achieving your goals.
